Update Methods
Please read the whole page before continuing.
These MapMate patches update the Methods table that is linked to the User database.
Only run these patches if you are absolutely sure you wish to update the Methods table.
You MUST ABSOLUTELY take a system backup via the replicator, or at the very least make a copy of your
"Reference" file in your My MapMate\Data\Reference folder before running these patches. If you choose to
copy the
Reference file to "Reference - Copy", it will be easy to revert it back to "Reference", if required.
This patch updates the Methods table with 2 new methods:
UV torch (365nm)
UV torch (395nm)
Note: All patches must be renamed with the same filename. If you download mutiple patches,
you can only rename and apply one patch at a time.
To apply MapMate patches:
Right-click the link above and select Save Link As... to download the update file into
the Documents\My MapMate\Data\Cache\Download folder. Some browsers may prompt you to
make sure you want to download the file.
Navigate to the Documents\My MapMate\Cache\Download folder
You will need your 3-character Centre Unique Key (CUK) which can be found by clicking Help,
About MapMate...
Depending on how your Windows File Explorer is configured, you may or may not see the .SQZ
filename extension.
If you can see the .SQZ extension:
Rename the patch to 1z1to{your_CUK}.sqz.
If you cannot see the .SQZ extension:
Rename the patch to 1z1to{your_CUK}.
Then...
Open MapMate and run the Replicator.
Check that Replicate Downloaded data into your database, Check Replicated records
on your system, and Create Upload from any new records in your database are
all ticked. If not, check that the patch is named correctly and in the My
MapMate\Data\Cache\Download folder.
Click Synchronise.
Click OK to continue.
Cancel the prompt asking to enter a password.
Click No to Do You Want to create a Return Sync File...
